IIW once again!

Last week’s Iceland Innovation Week (IIW) once again showed why it has become such an important meeting point for the Nordic innovation ecosystem. A big thank you to the IIW team for delivering another fantastic event and bringing together founders, investors, operators, and ecosystem builders from across the region and beyond.

It was great catching up with familiar faces, meeting new people, and having thoughtful conversations throughout the week.

Unsurprisingly, AI was a big topic everywhere, and interesting to see  how quickly AI is becoming integrated into the investment side and company building.

Another clear theme was the urgent need to mobilize more capital in Europe toward innovation and venture creation if we want to keep pace with the US. We believe the Nordics are uniquely positioned to lead this shift, but it will require action. We need larger scaleup funds, and we need significantly more capital flowing into the earliest stages (especially pre-seed).

The opportunity is enormous, and the time to act is now.
